Haiku Heights #279 ~ September Heights Day 06

Teacher

Sigh - Bell marks the start
Tries again to explain Math
Paper planes fly round

...

Finally! Bell rings
Grab things as fast as she can
Woosh - gone before kids!

...

Sees herself on bench
A couple of years ago
So many dreams then..

...

Child raises his hand
Good! Student takes keen int'rest
"Miss, can I go pee?".

...

Rebel youth shout loud,
Sing and dance upon desks tops,
Teacher walks - silence!.

...

Morning - school bell rings,
One by one slowly find seat,
Chalk Scribbles - exam!.

...

When I don't study!,
An apple for the teacher,
That will do the trick!

Haiku Heights #278 ~ September Heights Day 05

 Ballet

She laced her slippers,
Butterflies in her stomach,
Deep breath - curtain down.

...

A lake formed from tears,
Moon light to show her true face,
Her death came too soon!.

...

Young girl had big dreams,
To one day perform as swan,
Poor thing - she cracked toe.

...

Of tutus and points
I never understood much,
Nutcracker 's a tool!

Haiku Heights #277 ~ September Heights Day 04

 Shepherd

Chop onion to start,
Add mutton, make creamy mash,
Perfect shepherd's pie!.

...

From dawn till dusk herds,
His dear black and white sheep,
Trusty dog beside.

...

One by one he counts,
Missing black sheep, must have run,
Call in vain - wolf howl.

Haiku Heights #276 ~ September Heights Day 03

 Silver

A kiss marked the Lord,
 Blood stained thirty silver coins,
A rope marked the end.

...

Away from the eye,
Lovers meet lips making love
High - Silver moon shines.

Haiku Heights #275 - September Heights Day 2

Guardian

Seated, Dorment, Still
A pair - stone at the entrance
The lion dogs rest

...

Upon heavens shine,
Your beauty - ho mighty star
My strength beside me.

...

Warden of my soul
You love me for who I am,
I know you can hear.

...

Dear defender,
You protect this helpless me,
Until my last breath.

Haiku Heights #274 - September Heights Day

Frogs

Near a pond we met,
Love at first sight it read - kissed
No prince yet again...

...

Patiently waited
For a moth to pass by me,
In a jiffy, slurp!.

...

Hippidy Hop Hop
Leap Upon Lily Pond Leaves
Ribbit! Boy and Jar!

Haiku Heights #273 -

Bat

Prince of the macabre
At dusk, your kingdom reveals
Light melts it away.

...

Flapping wings unfold
Upon darkened nights he swoops
Echoes - a blind chase.

  1. Our own Soul is an echoe that we can't reveal. We are little persons with a big heart and your heart is bigger than ours. I loved the poems. They are lovely!
And thank you for the support. I'll be ok, soon :)
