What a Night! could barely sleep and when I did I had to dream of you! Its unthinkable how destiny works and twist our lives and minds. 

Lisbon....Lisbon once again you turned your lights on me

Far is the day you'll set me free 

You still play this foolish game with my mind 

Although I look and search the answer I never find 

I tried to stay away from you 

But this proved to be untrue 

Now again myself I find to lie 

While I wish for this feeling to die

A short lived happy moment

What to do? what to do? brought a house that it is impossible to live in? most probably made the biggest commitment I have ever done in my entire life...and now I see it tear apart before my eyes....

No this cant be real...something must be done!. I picked up the phone and called the architect to seek his advice. He came a few days later, and inspected the building ...he checked every inch of the building...he said the building looks fine, but one must remove the plastering to evaluate and see from where the water might be coming from.

And so we did....we cleared the ceiling from the plastering and waited for the architect to come give it a second look. This time he had bad news to deliver...the damage was to an unrepairable extend and living in the building would have put us in danger!.  "I feel a rage coming up every time I remember this!" how lost I felt, what I could do now?. Called my notary and a lawyer and asked advice on the happened events. Not much to do there reply was, unless I wanted to wait for years fighting a case in court and most probably loose it since there was nothing in the contract stating about the condition of the ceiling. Stupid!...stupid law! Grrr!!

Here we were again at point "A" right from where we started...had nothing only our selves ...but that...that was enough...we had love and determination....we would get trough this..we will I'm sure...

Finally Home...

Finally!!  Cassidy and me had a place we could call home, after a whole year of awaiting and expectations,  the key was ours, and we could now move in!. It was a Tuesday evening, I remember it clearly...It was my only day off back then. Picked Cassidy from home and drove to the apartment, we both were trilled and exited!. went up the flight of stairs and opened the door to our home for the first time..

The feeling was something indescribable, felt like the biggest thing I ever done in my life!. The place was some what dark due to the dark painted walls and heavy curtains!, but that was something we would change soon, and make it meet our taste!.  The place indeed needed a good clean! I assume that the previous owners neglected there cleaning schedule knowing that they would be leaving the place soon!. It took us almost a month to clear it all and give it a good clean but in the end the place was spotless!!.

Brought a few bottles of wine and a few cheeses and salami, invited a few friends for a house warming party.
It was a dream coming true, now Cassidy and me could start writing a new page in our life. By the end of August we started moving a few things in, and some times we spent the night in there..it was perfect!.

On September 8th we were invited to a family gathering for the local feast, a feast we did not really enjoy since as a terrible storm hit the island that day. We returned to the apartment the next morning. To our horror we found the whole place flooded, it was terrible and I could not understand how this could have happened. Checked every window to see if they were properly  secured!. The bedroom was the most damaged and the water had ruined most of the furniture. It was now clear that there was a problem with the ceiling, water was seeping trough, we thought that it must be a small problem that could be fixed easily by giving some maintenance to the roof...hoo.. how wrong we were...... 

Whatever we did and tried to do to mend it,  the problem persisted... all winter! It was not possible to longer live in it since whenever it started raining water poured in abundantly. What a nightmare!. Our dream was slowly fading away...

It was the start of a list of misfortune, one after the other...

Robin is back

Seams like summer came to its end, It is getting slightly chilly at night now, and early in the morning you do feel that fresh feeling in the air. 

Today just like many other days my alarm rang at 7 AM, not that I usually get out that fast of bed I love to linger about in bed for that extra 5...15...perhaps 30 minutes longer!. But today it was different,  woke up to a familiar sound, I could hear it faint as I rolled  up my self in the bed sheets this morning, somehow stretched one foot out and looked for my bed slippers, hard task if done in complete darkness, half asleep and still with your head glued to the pillow!!. After a few minutes of foot tip tapping the floor there it was ...found it!.  Opened my bedroom window and there he was again...Robin was back! For the 5th year the very same robin comes to rest for a month or two in our garden.I usually leave some stale bread on the window sill, I love watching him from behind my bedroom window hopping from one tree to an other, what a nostalgic feeling....   

He never changed his habits, he still knocks on my window with its beak, 

Its seams like time have stood in its world out of my bedroom window, 

but from this side I feel like all is different and new 

almost alien to me....
